The president of the Confederation of Malta Trade Unions yesterday filed a libel suit against the president and general secretary general of a group of unions over a press release they issued.

William Portelli filed the libel suit against Forum president John Bencini and general secretary Paul Pace.

The press release in question was issued on March 16.
