England’s Luke Donald risked the Masters curse by capturing the Par-3 Contest on Wednesday at Augusta National Golf Club, something no player has done and then won that year’s Masters title. World No. 4 Donald fired a five-under par 22, two shots off the nine-hole course record, for a one-stroke triumph over Argentina’s Angel Cabrera and American Ray Floyd, so the hex’s history says his Masters bid is doomed.
