Uprooting of trees in Marsaxlokk
Recently, the tamarisk trees along the waterfront leading to Il-Magħluq, Marsaxlokk were uprooted, presumably to pro-vide space for rubbish. Was there any approval for this?
As far as I know, a campaign is on to have thousands of trees planted in various localities.

Destruction of the environment by those concerned. This is the same when they prune trees to their main trunk to be able to sell the cuttings for firewood, but the Agriculture Department seems to have gone into hibernation under the PN Governments and private entities are being employed to do the jobs previously used to be done by the Agriculture Department.
