The Divorce Movement has told the Broadcasting Authority it agrees with the request for an increase
in television spots to be broadcast during the referendum campaign made by the anti-divorce movement.
However, it could not understand why this movement was seeking to reduce the number of debates and press
conferences suggested by the Broadcasting Authority.
This is tantamount to the anti-divorce movement preferring to spout forth monologues rather than engaging in dialogue with those in favour of the introduction of responsible divorce and with the press.
"Moviment IVA is in full agreement with the directives issued by the BA to all radio and television stations as regards programmes on the family and marriage.
"These are both matters of public policy impinging on the divorce debate, more so when there have already been several broadcasts that maliciously depicted divorce as being anti-family and anti-marriage," it said.
