A Libyan man from Mosta with a drug problem was remanded in custody yesterday after he was charged with stealing mobile phones and other electronic items from five cars.
Prosecuting, Inspector Kevin Farrugia said that when Ismael Habesh, 40, was arrested he was found in possession of several items, including mobile phones, internet keys and a GPS.
A number of these items had been identified by their owners but others remained unclaimed, Insp. Farrugia said.
Mr Habesh denies the charges.
