The University’s Department of Statistics and Operations Research will be holding a lecture on ‘The Future of Statistical Science in the Knowledge Economy’, delivered by Miodrag Lovric.

Prof. Lovric is a professor of statistics, editor-in-chief of the International Encyclopaedia of Statistial Science, and managing editor of Statprob. He was nominated for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize.

The lecture will reflect on the past, present and future of statistics.

It will be held at the Aula Magna at the University’s Valletta Campus in St Paul Street, on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
