Wanted woman found
Rita Bugeja
A Maltese woman who had been reported missing after being granted bail during procedures charging her with importing 5,000 ecstasy pills has been found in London as was yesterday extradited to Malta, the police said.
Rita Bugeja, 51, had gone missing on November 19, 2007, just days before her jury was due to start.
The Criminal Court had subsequently ordered her arrest and a European Arrest Warrant was issued. She was found and arrested in the UK in 2008 but again disappeared.
The woman is currently being held at the Corradino Correctional Facility.

You can't get into the UK with ID Card as far as I know. You still need the passport. But somehow she managed to sneak in maybe through France or whatever.
Well she will get another bail now, based on how our courts work.

still without passport you can fly with id card they have to be black listed with photos on the pc of immigration officers at the departure

So my question is why was this potential drug dealer's passport not taken away until after her trial?
