Arson on Hamrun letterbox
A number of letters in a letterbox at Triq il-Lunzjata, corner with Triq Il Kbira San Guzepp, Hamrun, have
been damaged by fire, Maltapost said.
It said in a statement that the last collection from this letter box was made yesterday at 7.31 p.m. MaltaPost officials became aware that arson had taken place at around noon today.
Service to this letterbox has resumed as normal.
All mail, including that which has been damaged, will be duly delivered, MaltaPost said. It apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Cars, letterboxes, front doors - it seems that arson is a popular 'retaliation' item in Malta.
The problem is sooner or later someone will die - so the police and courts need to take these incidents very seriously.
