HMED. On March 14, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Farag Hajer née Omran Abdelsalam and Amhamed, God’s precious gift of a daughter – TEJMA. Thanks to midwife Carmen Scerri and to all the staff at the hospital.

VELLA. On March 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Alexia née Meli and Mark, God’s precious gift of a first-born daughter – SOPHIE. A big thank you to midwife Mrs Louise Saliba and all the staff on duty.

Golden Wedding

The marriage took place on March 27, 1961 at Our Lady of Graces chapel, Sliema. Service conducted by Fr Joseph Inguanez of Stella Maris church. Congratulations mum and dad on your 50th anniversary. Obituary

CLARK. On March 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANDREW GALLOWAY of Madliena, passed peacefully away after a long illness, bravely and courageously borne. Beloved husband of Catherine (Kate) and devoted father to Katrina, Jill, Anthony son-in-law Mike, daughter-in-law Nicola. Loving grummy and grandpa to Andrew, Kirstie, Charlie, Max, Oliver, Kieran, Ellie and Grace and friend of too many to mention. Tomorrow, the family will be in attendance at Mater Dei mortuary chapel for all of those who would like to pay their respects to Andrew from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., followed by a memorial and remembrance lunch at Marsa Sports Club at 1p.m. The funeral will take place in Scotland at a future date.

FALZON. On March 26, at her residence in Ħamrun, MARIA, aged 86, widow of Joseph Falzon, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jane and her husband Joseph Camilleri, Carmelo and his wife Maria, Dolores, widow of her son Emanuel, Frank and his wife Jamm, Gaetano and his wife Jane, Isabella and her husband Ġorġ Camilleri, and Maria Gloria and her husband Vince Curmi, her sister Josephine Meli and her husband Joseph, her grandchildren Marisa, Romina, Joseph, Noel, Mario, Grecia, Emma, Rianne, Neil, Alan, Anne-Marie, Annalise and Damien and her seven great-grandchildren. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Cajetan Church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On March 25, at her residence in Luqa, JANE, aged 76, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John, her children Mario and his wife Sonia, Fr Martin, director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Joanne and her husband Dr Joe Mizzi, her grandchildren Karl Andrew, Roberta, John and Elisabeth, her sister Veneranda, her brother Gaetano and his wife Mary, her sister-in-law Marija, her brother-in-law Anthony and his wife Carmen, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for St Andrew’s parish church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at Luqa cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza and the Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
