The Sun Odyssey 409 was recently voted European Yacht of the Year 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Selected by a jury of top magazines in the marine industry, the trophy is a handsome reward for the new Jeanneau model. The European Yacht of the Year award is an initiative of Yacht, together with other leading magazines, including Yachting World, Fare Vela, Waterkampion, Batnytt, Yacht Revue, Seilas, Yate, Voile Magazine, Yacht, Badnyt and Marina.ch.

The Sun Odyssey 409 was awarded the title in the ‘Family Cruiser’ category. Other nominees in this category included the Bavaria Cruiser 45, the Bénéteau Océanis 58, the Comet 26 and the Hanse 445.
