BoV launches set of three limited edition Champions League prepaid Master Cards

Bank of Valletta has launched a set of three limited edition Uefa Champions League Master Card prepaid cards, each having a denomination of €150.

The new cards feature three exclusive designs and can be purchased individually or as a limited edition collector’s item set.

Under a complementary promotion, customers who buy any of these cards by June 2 will be eligible to participate in a lottery to win one of 50 original Uefa match balls.

Ivo Camilleri, BoV’s executive head, Electronic Banking Services, said the bank was the only one to offer prepaid cards locally, an option well received by customers since launch last year.

Prepaid cards are payment cards that are pre-loaded with a fixed sum. When a prepaid card is used, the money is deducted from the amount originally loaded onto the card. The card is essentially free of charge as the pre-loaded €150 is entirely available to the customer.

BoV Master Card prepaid cards provide versatility, convenience and ease of use for online purchases or bill payment or in-store shopping. They can also be used as travel cards.

Card balances may be checked at BoV ATMs or by calling 2123 4821.
