Sixty felines in cat show
Sixty felines, groomed to perfection, will be showing off their natural beauty tomorrow during the international cat show organised by the Malta Feline Guardians Club.
The show pays homage to the diversity in breeds from Persians to British long hairs, exotics, Maine Coons, Himalayans, Sphynx and the Maltese domestic cat.
Two World Cat Federation breed judges, Antonello Bardella from Italy and Andreas Kretschmer-Kraiczek from Germany, will preside over the judging.
The show, open to the public between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., will be held in the ballroom of the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana.

Very often if not always, animal shows are stressful moments for the animals involved. Therefore, all true animal-lovers should stay away and not in any way condone these shows. Whoever takes animals for these shows does not love his or her pets, let there be no mistake.

I will be attending the cat show which will be organized by the Malta Cat Club in St Anne Hall Marsaskala right under the Parish Church, as I have heard many good things about their show. There will also be a Dog Training session, Happy Paws Charity Shop volunteers, a Cake competition, and a bar selling refreshments at low prices!! And to all those who think animals are suffering at these kinds of shows, I encourage you to pay a visit to Marsaskala on Sunday 27th March and see how truly loved and pampered the cats really are!
