Two polar bear cubs, Gregor and Aleut, and their mother Vera exploring their enclosure at the Tiergarten Zoo in Nuremberg, southern Germany. The two cubs were born on December 16 and left their breeding burrow for the first time on Wednesday. Berlin’s superstar polar bear Knut, who died suddenly last Saturday aged just four, likely fell victim to undiagnosed brain damage, his zoo said.
