On Monday afternoon, the male students of a particular school were taken to relax at the Fleur-de-Lys playground.

One of the teens was on the “chair” merry-go-round and three boys were spinning him around and around and he was holding on for dear life... a clear case of bullying. I yelled at them to stop and he was allowed off. He was obviously dizzy and unsteady on his feet, yet one of his peers actually pushed him but, thankfully, he didn’t fall.

I told them I was going to report them to their head of school. Suddenly, a sweet voice from behind me said: “Lady, do you need anything?” and I said: “You bet I do! That kid there is being bullied.”

For some reason, this teacher asked me which one of them it was and I told her it was her job to find out. She, who had been relaxing on a bench, had not noticed anything.

Had that boy been on the ground, being kicked and pummelled, she would not have seen it happen either (the merry-go-round is on a higher level than the ground).

This is a plea to anyone to whom we entrust our children to take care of them for us properly.
