EU Foreign Ministers discussing Libya
EU Foreign Affairs Ministers are this morning meeting in Brussels to dicsuss the situation in Libya and the next steps to be taken by the EU.
Speaking to the press before going the meeting, the EU's Foreign Affairs Chief, Catherine Ashton, said that the EU was very satisfied at the way the military campaign in Libya was going and the 27 member states would today be discussing further humanitarian help to the Libyan people.
The 27 foreign ministers, which include Malta's Tonio Borg, are also expected to give the green light further sanctions against the Gaddafi regime.

So we have it from the EU Foreign Affairs Chief mouth that what is going on in Libya is a "military campaign" not a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the Libyan government and the opposition! Why are the foreign ministers meeting in Brussels instead of the defence ministers meeting in New York? What has the EU done during the past 40 years to help the Libyan people? Is it not clear that the members of the "coalition could not care less about the Libyan civilians but have their own interests to satisfy? Why cannot the Libyan opposition understand that they are being used as a pawn? Are they happy with the death and destruction that is going on in their country now?
