Congratulations to the SPCA for its fantastic new upmarket charity shop called Paws 4 A Cause in George Borg Olivier Street-Howard Street in Sliema. I just love it.
I was apprehensive about going into the shop when it opened, as charity shops are normally dark and disorganised, but Paws 4 A Cause looks like a real shop.
I was surprised to find it so clean and inviting; the volunteers are helpful and friendly and they have such lovely things to sell.
I call in most days, as it is so easy to find things and they have new stock coming in every day. I have bought lots of bric-a-brac and books from their book store and they have lovely clothes as well: The quality is good and the prices are so reasonable and best of all it is for the animals.
They also have a changing room which many charity shops don’t have. I love their new bargain basement too: it is like Aladdin’s cave.
I would like to say thank you to the SPCA for opening such a fabulous shop and helping the cats and dogs.
The volunteers also told me that any stock that is no good or they cannot sell goes to the SPCA home as bedding to keep the animals warm and is also made into toys.
