Gozo needs better roads, not a tunnel

I fully agree with Jolanda De Concillis (The Sunday Times, February 27). If we really want to do something worthwhile for Gozo, how about using the funds that would be required for the tunnel to fix all the roads that desperately need repairs? Surely...

If we really want to do something worthwhile for Gozo, how about using the funds that would be required for the tunnel to fix all the roads that desperately need repairs?

Surely it would cost much less and everyone would benefit from it. It seems Gozo is always left with the crumbs when it comes to allocating funds for roads. I am all for eco-Gozo, but even eco-Gozo needs better roads for transportation.
