Scouts’ Founder’s Day parade

The Victoria and Xagħra Scout groups recently celebrated Founder’s Day with a church parade and Mass at Xagħra parish church. Council members, several parents and supporters of both groups joined the Scouts in celebrating the birthday of their founder Lord Baden-Powell. In his sermon Fr Anton Refalo compared the day’s gospel and its recommendations to the way of life as promoted by the principles of Scouting. During Mass the members renewed their Scout Promise. After Mass, a Scout from the Xagħra group and three Cubs from the Victoria group were invested.
