Pierre Léna, a noted member of the Academie des Sciences in Paris, will be giving a public lecture entitled ‘Science education for all: a look to the future’ at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, tomorrow at 6.30 p.m.
Mr Léna is an astrophysicist who is involved in science education issues. He is emeritus professor of astrophysics and physics at the Paris Diderot University.
Mr Léna’s work centres on infrared astronomy. He is the author of more than 100 scientific articles, author of several books on astrophysics, on education in science, popular books and television series.
Since 2005, he has led the Education Office of the French Académie des Sciences and pursues work on science education at national, European and international levels.
Mr Léna is a member of Academia Europeae and of thePontifical Academy of Sciences.
