Intercontinental Malta, the island’s largest five-star property, has strengthened its conference and group sales team with additional key personnel.
Jesmond Debono has recently been promoted to international sales director. He has worked for Intercontinental Hotels for nine years, holding various positions within the sales and marketing department.
Andrew Strickland, who recently joined the team as international sales manager also brings along a wealth of experience within hospitality sales and marketing.
He has held several roles in other five-star hotels and destination management companies in Malta.
Senior sales manager Stephanie Galea has been an important member of the group’s team since 2009 responsible for in-house group sales.
Ms Galea is aided by Caroline Gauci who was recently promoted to sales executive and Carolina Picone who has spent 15 years working at Intercontinental Hotels in Rome and Murcia.
Christopher Gingell Littlejohn, Intercontinental Malta sales/marketing director said the team will consolidate the hotel’s position as Malta’s leading five-star meetings and conference properties.
