Banif Bank Malta plc has signed a three year co-operation agreement with the Gozo Tourism Association. The agreement, signed at Banif Bank’s branch in Victoria by Paul Scicluna, chairman of the Gozo Tourism Association and Simon Grech, head of retail unit at Banif Bank, will serve as a platform for ongoing discussion between the two entities.

“This agreement is in line with Banif Bank’s commitment to support businesses and entrepreneurs in the growth of their enterprise. By catering for their specific and individual needs, Banif Bank provides financial assistance and continuous support to businesses to help them reach their business targets.

“The Gozo Tourism Association has been the main representative of the Gozitan tourism industry for the past 10 years throughout which it has promoted Gozo’s distinct touristic appeal. It thus believes that the agreement with Banif Bank will further enhance its endeavours with regards to the marketing of Gozo as a distinct destination,” the bank said in a statement.

The executive committee of the Gozo Tourism Association represented by the vice chairman, Mario Loporto, the secretary, Joe Muscat and the treasurer, Mark Busuttil, together with Banif representatives Charles Mizzi, head of image and communications unit and Marie Josette Vella Magro, manager of the Victoria branch were also present for the occasion.
