A shopkeeper came face to face with a masked gunman who entered his detergent outlet in Ħamrun demanding money, yesterday.

The incident occurred at 4.30 p.m. when a man wearing a black balaclava and pointing a black pistol entered the shop in 7th June 1919 Square. The police said he made off with less than €100.

Magistrate Anthony Vella is holding an inquiry.
