Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split up, according to US reports.
The 30-year-old SexyBack singer and 29-year-old A-Team star began dating in 2007, and brushed off rumours that their relationship was on the rocks in October 2009. They have now decided to call it a day, it has been confirmed to People magazine.
A statement released by the couple’s representatives on Thursday said: “Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they have mutually decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”
A source told the magazine: “There are no hard feelings. It was completely mutual and they both decided it was time to move on.”
The couple have apparently decided to remain friends and Jessica will reportedly keep the Los Angeles home she shared with Justin.
Their relationship had been tipped by bookmakers to hit the rocks this year, with odds of 5/1 of them splitting in 2011.
Social Network star Justin fuelled speculation by taking his mother as his date to the Oscars last month, although he was later reportedly spotted looking cosy with Jessica at Vanity Fair’s post-Oscars party.
