• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1) will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• A Way of the Cross will be held from Ta’ Pinu sanctuary to Għammar Hill today at 3.30 p.m.

• The feast of Pope St Gregory the Great is being celebrated in Kerċem today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate Mass at 9 a.m. The procession with the statue of the saint will leave the church at 5 p.m. The St Gregory Band will take part. At noon there will be thetraditional lunch.

• The Nadur council will be holding its annual meeting at its premises tomorrow at 6 p.m. Nadur residents are invited to attend.

• The Padre Pio Prayer Group will hold a prayer meeting at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces of the Capuchin Friars in Victoria on Friday at 5.30 p.m. Rosary will be followed by Mass at 6 p.m.

• A lecture entitled ‘Malta’s link with Atlantis’ by Francis Xavier Alonso will be delivered at the Gozo Ministry, St Francis Square, Victoria, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. Entrance is free.

• A book fair will be held near Xagħra basilica between today and tomorrow. It will be open all day.

• A sports marathon in aid of Arka Foundation, entitled ‘Play for Charity’, will be held at the Gozo Sports Complex in Victoria on March 26. Those willing to take part can fill a form at the complex’s reception desk until Friday. There is no registration fee, but a donation in aid of Arka Foundation will be welcome.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Augustine Church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• St Joseph parish of Qala will be celebrating the feast of St Joseph on Saturday. Mgr Grech will celebrate Mass at6.30 p.m.

• The annual general meeting of the Gozo NGOs Association willbe held at the NGO centre in Xewkija on Friday at 5.30 p.m.Members are invited to send arepresentative.

• France will celebrate la fête de la Francophonie (International French Language Day) nextSunday. To mark the occasion, the Alliance Française de Malte- Méditerranée will be holding an evening of Belgian food, wine and beer at Chez Amand restaurant in Qbajjar Bay, Marsalforn, on Saturday at 7.30 p.m.

• Agius de Soldanis Girls Secondary School students will celebrate World Water Day with an activity at It-Tokk, Victoria, on March 22 at noon.

Another activity will be held at St Francis Square, Victoria, on March 24 at 9.45 a.m. During the activity students will collect money for a project in Tanzania.
