Obituary
BUTTIGIEG. On March 8, at his residence in Qawra, ALBERT of Ħamrun, aged 54, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his father Emmanuel, his brothers Anthony, Edgar, Joseph, Michael, Raymond and Mario, their spouses, nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on March 12 at 8.30 a.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
DEBONO – GEORGE. On March 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, aged 87, residing at Sta Venera, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Mary, née Romano, his son Tony, Ambassador for Jordan, and Roseanne, his daughters Rose and her husband Charles and Marcelle and her husband George, his grandchildren Roberta, Miguel, Anatole, Kenneth, Leander, Petar and Thomas, his brother and sister, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Francis church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephews Vince and his wife Ruth and their sons Matthew and Daniel, Anthony and his wife Sorraine and their children Gabriella, Justin and Andrew, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
GALEA. On March 8, INEZ, aged 82, passed away peacefully, at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Rosette and her husband Nicholas, Charles and his wife Alice, her grandchildren Justin, Nicolette, Liam, her sisters, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church in Fgura where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
PICCININO. On March 9, MARY, residing at Casa Leone XIII, St Julians, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife Tania, Dorothy, Paul and his wife Mary, Tonio and his wife Rose, Carmen and her husband Emmanuel, Hector and his wife Lucia, Mary Grace and her husband Mario, brothers, sisters, in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by private interment.
