A rare Portuguese man o’ war jellyfish was netted by army officers off Marsamxett Harbour on Tuesday. About 30cm long and with long stingers, Portuguese man o’ war is not really a jellyfish but a colony of gelatinous organisms which, however, can produce a very painful sting. It was passed on to Spot the Jellyfish team at the University of Malta.
