The GWU this morning again complained of a lack of transparency and imposition in the Air Malta restructuring process, and said that it would not back the restructuring report unless there was discussion and agreement prior to implementation of the proposed measures.
It has also requested an urgent meeting with the government , while voicing disagreement with the proposals related to the workers.
The union did not reveal what the proposals are, but there have been reports that several hundred workers will be struck off the airline's books and offered alternative civil service jobs.
The restructuring report has been prepared by Ernst & Young (E & Y).
The union said it would consider actions unless proper talks were held.
