• The Mission Fund is organising a tea tombola in aid of Maltese missionaries working in third world countries at Pembroke parish hall at 3.30 p.m. today. Tickets will be sold at the door (if still available).

• A sale of antique and old furniture is being held at St Helen parish centre, Birkirkara (behind the basilica) on Thursday and Friday from5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and 4.30 to 8 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

• Caritas co-operators will be holding a day at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on March 16. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at 10.30 a.m. There will be a psalm animation presented by Ann Rose Toledo at 11 a.m., followed by Mass and a buffet lunch. Games will be played in the afternoon and transport can be arranged.
