• Peach and Sorrel will be holding a health and beauty open day as part of YWCA’s Woman’s Day activities today. Various treatments starting from €5 will be available. • A carnival activity is being held at the Circolo Gozitano, Victoria, tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. Pasta and wine will be served and there will be music provided by Manuel Rapa. • A sale of antique and old furniture is being held at St Helen parish centre, Birkirkara (behind the basilica) on Thursday and Friday from5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and 4.30 to 8 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

• A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations will be held at St Joseph the Worker parish church, Birkirkara on Saturday. It starts at 9.45 p.m. with Mass followed by adoration.

• Caritas co-operators will be holding a day at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on March 16. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at 10.30 a.m. There will be a psalm animation presented by Ann Rose Toledo at 11 a.m., followed by Mass and a buffet lunch. Games will be played in the afternoon and transport can be arranged.
