Obituary
BORG WARD. On March 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, SHEILA, aged 81, widow of Carmelo, of the UK, residing in Malta, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Noel and his wife Caroline, and Josette and Dominic, her brother and two sisters in the UK, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Sta Lucija parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Villa Mgr Gonzi, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
CALAMATTA. On March 4, at Villa Messina, Rabat, ANGELA, néeSpiteri, aged 90, widow of John, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Alfred and his wife Janis, Narcy and his wife Lauren, Peter and his wife Simone, Maryann and her husband Ronald, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, respective families and numerous friends. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Conċetta, her brothers Emanuel and his wife Franġeska, and Carmel and his wife Gemma, her nieces Silvia, Helen, Doris, Pauline, Antonia, Gina, Rita and Elena and their husbands and children, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence tomorrow at 1.15 p.m. for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. On March 4, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Mgr SALVINO FENECH of Floriana, aged 81, member of the Metropolitan Chapter, Archdiocese of Malta, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only brother Joe and his wife Beatrice, relatives, in-laws, members of the Metropolitan Chapter, Archdiocese of Malta and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. for St Publius Oratory, Floriana, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m. at St Publius parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Kleru will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.
MASON. We announce the passing away, peacefully, of CHRIS, at the age of 69, in the UK, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maria, his daughters and their families, especially his precious grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, also his families in the UK and Malta. On behalf of his family, Charles Dingli wishes to thank all those who helped and gave their support when Chris fell suddenly ill in Malta. Special thanks go to his family, the family doctors, the consultant for the delicate intervention and the dedicated staff at Mater Dei and Boffa Hospitals, and to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan. The funeral will take place in UK on March 8. May the good Lord grant him eternal rest.
SELVAGGI – PIETRO. Passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, on February 16, in Busano, Turin, Italy.
