All except one of the 2,243 Chinese evacuees from Libya, who were on the first Chinese government chartered ferry trip from Tripoli have returned home, the Chinese Embassy in Malta said.
It said that the one person who was still in Malta was still receiving medical treatments.
The embassy said that by this evening, 3,066 evacuees could have been transferred back to China through Malta.
This would leave about 2,000 Chinese evacuees in Malta, 1,801 of whom will stay on the Chinese government chartered vessels. Another 200 people, who arrived through other means of transportation, have been settled in hotels with the assistance of the Embassy.
They will all return to China in the next two days on chartered flights of China Eastern Airlines.
