The CEO of Public Broadcasting Services has a basic salary of €56,000 and a performance bonus of up to 15 per cent thereon. Manager News has a basic salary of €37,845.12 but no performance bonus.

Culture Minister Dolores Cristina gave details of the financial packages of the state broadcaster’s top management in reply to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Gino Cauchi.

The other basic salaries are €25,250.36 for the Financial Controller, €30,762.96 for Manager Operations, €28,060.32 for Manager Programming, €34,744 for Manager Corporate Services and €19,603.80 for Manager Business Development.

Their respective maximum performance bonuses are €2,329; €4,659; €2,329; €2,329 and €15,972.

From the Financial Controller down, all have allowances for fuel, mobile, internet and medical insurance.

The CEO has allowances for mobile, fuel, car and medical insurance.

Manager News has mobile, fuel, car, life and medical insurance, internet, home telephone and editorial allowances.
