A handful of hawkers, who yesterday ventured out to Flagstone Wharf, near Blata l-Bajda park-and-ride, were disappointed by the way the hawker spaces were allocated. The slots for the Sunday open-air market stalls were distributed “unfairly” at the very last minute, the hawkers said. Although they paid a regular licence fee, the allocated lots varied in size and location. Most hawkers did not turn up to set up their stands.
