Victoria council is embarking on a project to reconstruct three roads: Wied is-Seqer, Sagħtar and Ganni Vassallo streets.

Mayor Samuel Azzopardi said the council would be restoring four historical niches in Victoria, namely Christ the King, Madonna ta’ Loretu, San Ġorġ tal-Ħaġar and San Lwiġi Gonzaga.

Dr Azzopardi said the council was also addressing traffic problems in Victoria.

In an effort to reduce emissions, heavy vehicles have been prohibited from entering the centre of Victoria.

Dr Azzopardi said the council had also submitted a Mepa application to upgrade Victoria playing field.
