Napoleon’s throne for the French Senate being displayed yesterday at the Chateau de Versailles, southwest of Paris, prior to the exhibition Trônes en majesté (Thrones in majesty). Some 40 emblematic thrones from different periods and civilisations are on display in the palace of Versailles during this showcase which runs from next Tuesday, till June 19.
