PM calls off visit to Israel

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has postponed his official visit to Israel and Palestinian Territories because of the crisis unfolding in Libya, the government said.

During the trip, which was scheduled between Monday and Thursday, Dr Gonzi was going to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

A Malta Enterprise delegation was due to accompany Dr Gonzi.
