Malta should seriously prepare itself for anything that could happen in the eventuality of a potential exodus from Libyan shores, the Labour Party' spokesman for Immigration said.

Well , it will surely boost the tourism figures somewhat.
Now is the time to get a marine rig as close as possible to Libyan fields and pump a few tubs of oil while their attention is elsewhere.
Go for it.

I am enjoying this. Finally all parties(hlief l AD) are all saying the same thing myself and many others used to say for the last few years National Interest should always come first.

To PN commentors below. Where have you been these last few days? In Tripoli? Haven't you heard of the joint statement from Parliament condemning all type of violence without any limitations? Even the PM thanked Joseph Muscat and the Opposition for the cooperation in these days of national need. For once take off those blue blinkers and see what out country needs, not just splitting hairs on something that you didn't hear, or might have escaped you! It is in the national interest and that we stay united!

Where has the PL been this last few days? Say nothing to make sure we offend no one, aren't we? Or say something generic that means nothing, like this.

Perhaps, Joseph should tell us where the Chost of the past in the name of Alex Scibberras Trigona would take him to gain some sort of International recognition that his old Pal Gadafi days are numbered. Wait he still have friend in North Korea. Afterall the North KOreans under a secret agrrement uthered by the same chost of the pas trained our securty personnel.

Typical PL. All words, no content. Can't the PL see that Malta is already going through an exodus from Libya? And through the combined effort of government, private enterprises and especially Air Malta, our country is in the limelight internationally as the heroes of this situation.
