Some 70 Libyans gathered outside the Libyan Embassy in Attard for the fifth day in a row today, waving the old Libyan flag and demanding that the embassy puts down the green flag and the resignation of the ambassador.
Speaking to timesofmalta.com, protester Mohammed Hadood said Libyans in Malta would not stop protesting until that flag was lowered and the ambassador resigned.
“He is no longer our representative,” he said.
Walid Miladi, another protester, said that Gaddafi was saying young Libyans were on drugs.
“Our only drug is the truth,” he said.
While making a snorting gesture, he added he believed it was Gaddafi who was taking drugs.
The embassy is being guarded by a large contingent of policemen.
DEMONSTRATION TOMORROW
A large demonstration in solidarity with Libyan people will take place tomorrow at 10.30 am starting at City Gate, Valletta.
Maltese people have been urged to attend to show their condemnation to the violence taking place against protesters.
