One of the protesters outside the Libyan Embassy in Malta was reported as declaring that in Tripoli “the rivers of blood are flowing” and that Serbian military planes were sent to bomb the protesters (Protesters Threaten To Enter Embassy If Ambassador Does Not Leave, February 22, timesofmalta.com). This disturbed and confused the large Serbian community in Malta and they have addressed themselves to us for clarifications. None of the Serbian military planes took any action in any bombing in Libya, as was confirmed by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The planes that went to Libya were sent to evacuate more than 1,000 Serbian citizens working and living there.
