Congestion in Sliema
Last Saturday, at 1.45 p.m. it took me 15 minutes to drive up Locker Street in Qui-si-Sana and down St Anthony Street to the Ferries in Sliema.
I must congratulate the Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication for the “smooth flowing traffic arrangement”. It was indeed a surreal experience and as a bonus I got a good dose of exhaust fumes to lift my spirits.
I thank the ministry for look-ing after my health and well-being!

The meaning is: Efficiency, Motivation and Excellent Communication. Hekk joffri dan il-pajjiz. Kieku tkun xi wiehed tal-qalba, mirakli jaghmlu mieghek, basta juru kemm taparsi huma trasparenti.

Evidently, the welfare of Tigne Point seems to come before that of our health. The 2007 development brief for Fort Cambridge, which is close by, stated that the underground relief road had to be opened in 2008 or early 2009. To Mepa that was a primary objective of the Tigne Point Development Brief. That we are now messing up traffic in Sliema and conveniently ignoring above objective is indeed lindicative of things strange.
