Lawrence Gonzi is right in wanting to put the question on the divorce to the people of Malta in as simple and unprejudiced a manner as possible. Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando and the Moviment Iva would be contaminating the “question” by qualifying it with reservations showing their bias.

This is like asking an audience if they are in favour of capital punishment. If I want to bias the question towards a yes answer, I would qualify it by putting it in the following words: “Do you favour capital punishment of murderers who killed and raped your children and parents?” Such qualifications should appear only in the debate.
