Air-pistol shooter Eleanor Bezzina has just taken part at the Inter-shoot airgun competitions at The Hague, Netherlands.

After a slow start in her first warm-up event, Bezzina produced her best in the next two 10m air-pistol competitions to finish ahead of various other peers in the overall classification.

An excellent score of 370/400, a new Maltese overseas record in this discipline, enabled Bezzina to reach the final in a provisional fifth place on Day One of the competition.

However, as tension started to creep inside the shooters and the scores being so close, Bezzina could only manage a seventh placing overall, still considered as a creditable position for her.

Bezzina achieved a similar score of 370/400 on Day Two which again landed her in the final. This time, she performed slightly better for a sixth place from 15 shooters.
