Charity marathon

St Benedict College’s Girls’ secondary school, Tarxien, is organising a sports and activities marathon in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, on Friday between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The event includes a fun run in the Sta Luċija area, football, handball, netball, basketball, badminton, fun games, line dancing and Zumba fitness exercises to be held in the school’s main ground from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mcast students will be offering hair and beauty services between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

In the school hall there will be performances by dance groups and established singers and actors as well as a karaoke from 2 to 9 p.m. This will be followed by a two-hour concert in the school yard by two bands, Footprints and Rise.

Throughout the event there will be food, drinks and plants for sale, a photo exhibition by students and teachers, face painting, a bouncing castle and trampoline for children, segway rides and a car wash service outside the school.
