The number of disabled people currently employed by the Ministry of Education, Employment and Family Affairs and its departments adds up to 7.82 per cent of the total workforce, Minister Dolores Cristina told opposition MP Justyne Caruana in the latter’s series of parliamentary questions to each ministry.

Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici said his ministry employed five disabled persons: three at the Law Courts in Malta, one in the Police Corps and another in the permanent secretariat.

In Gozo the number of employed persons with disability represents 0.23 per cent of the ministry’s workforce.
