Obituary
BORG. On February 17, at St James Capua Hospital, PHILIP, of Żebbuġ, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Licia, his children Rita and her husband Mario Cassar, Albert and his wife Tereża, and Marica and her partner Pierre Dingli, his grandchildren Stephanie, Mark, Jessica, Andrew, Patrick, Philip, Maria and Daniel, his brothers and sisters and their families, his in-laws and their families, many other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital today at 3 p.m. for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Siġġiewi cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CAMILLERI. On February 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, PHILIP of St Paul’s Bay, aged 55, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jacqueline, his children Dane and his fiancée Vanessa, Julian and his fiancée Pauline, Francesca and her fiancé Roderick, and Keith, his mother Mary, his sisters and brothers, Nadia, John, Carmen, Simon and their spouses, his father-in-law Frankie, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Divine Mercy Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CILIA. On February 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, of Għaxaq, aged 76, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, his children Miriam and her husband Simon, Joyce and her husband Charles, Notary Joe Cilia, his grandchildren Chantelle, Sean, Brendon, Clint, Justine and Kimberly, his brothers Carmelo and Lawrence, his sister Frida, his in-laws Phylis, Margaret, Barbra, Arthur, William and Agnes and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Pius church, Santa Luċija, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Għaxaq cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
JACCARINI. On February 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr MARIO JACCARINI, SJ, aged 82, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren of the Society of Jesus in Malta, his sister Rosa, widow of Joe Consiglio, his brother Fr Victor, SJ, his sister Lilian and her husband Anthony Pace, his brother Louis and his wife Marlene, Carol and his wife Grace, his sister Hilda and her husband Victor DeMicoli, nephews, nieces, the members of the Youth Fellowship community and of the Praise the Name of Jesus Prayer Group, relatives and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment takes place at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Province Infirmary, Loyola House, Naxxar, will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

Talk on Sir Luigi Camilleri by Andre Zammit, today at 7.30 p.m. at the Circolo Gozitano, Victoria. A book signing will be held afterwards.
History of English-Speaking Union
Alan Lee Williams, visiting professor at the Department of Politics of Queen Mary, University of London, will be delivering a public talk on The English-Speaking Union: A History of Our Time at the Music Room of St James Cavalier, Valletta, at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Prof. Williams, who has had a long and most distinguished career in politics and academia, will be speaking about the history of the English-Speaking Union since its foundation as a charity in 1918 and how it developed in tandem with historic events in the world over the last tempestuous 93 years.
The event is organised by the English-Speaking Union of Malta.
