Cruise passengers dropped by four per cent in January compared to the same month last year, the cruise terminal operator said. There were 8,713 cruise passenger movements in January, a decrease of 351 over January 2010, Viset said.Four cruise liners called at Grand Harbour, the same as in the same month in 2010.The number of cruise passengers who visited Malta last year increased by almost 12 per cent over the previous year, totalling 490,700 compared to 439,280. Ship movements rose from 279 last year to 260 in 2009.
