This is a dispassionate, objective communication.
Personal beliefs according to denomination, persuasion or otherwise, are alien.
Point One. The Maltese archipelago, ostensibly, adheres in its totality to the beliefs, rules and to the pronouncements of the Roman, Catholic Apostolic Faith.
Point Two. The existing written Constitution of the Republic of Malta states:
Chapter 1 – The Republic of Malta (Constitution of Malta, Arrangements of Articles, The Republic of Malta)
Article 2 – Religion
Chapter 1 para. 2
(1) The religion of Malta is the Roman Catholic Apostolic Religion
(2) The authorities of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church have the duty and the right to teach which principles are right and which are wrong.
(3) Religious teaching of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Faith shall be provided in all state schools as part of compulsory education.
As a raw schoolboy trying to come to grips with the logic and inferences of geometry, I was brought up, when tackling statements such as the points above, to reason and arrive at the only logical conclusion that point one and point two, ergo, are irrevocably linked together.
When tackling point one and point two you are either “in” or “out”.
There is no limbo. In any case it has been officially struck off the list by Rome itself.
No polemics or altercations please.
Let each act according to one’s steadfast (not convenient) beliefs.
