A 75-year-old man is fighting for his life after falling down a flight of steps at his Valletta residence.

The incident happened at about 8.30 p.m. on Saturday in the man’s house in St John Street, but the police said they were informed about the incident about three hours later. He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where his condition was found to be critical.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna appointed experts to help him in an inquiry.
