New frontline for Thea
Winning last year’s Malta Song for Europe competition certainly threw young Thea Garrett into the limelight, and while some may argue that her output last year hasn’t been prolific, she has been dividing her time between performing and working on the next step of her career. And that next step is the release of not one, but two new singles.
The first of these is In Our Love, a duet with Polish singer Marcin Mrozinski, that was written by Jason Aquilina and Sunny Aquilina, the same songwriting duo behind Garrett’s victorious My Dream.
The single will play an important part in promoting Garrett in Poland and was officially launched this weekend during a special performance during the Eurovision Malta 2011 contest, with Garrett taking to the stage again later to launch her other new single, Frontline.
Written by John Galea and Dean Muscat and recorded at Doyaya Studios with Boriz Cezek, Frontline marks a bold step for the young Maltese vocalist in that it blends her timeless classical voice with a contemporary urban sound and lush arrangements.
The result is a towering pop melody that has all the makings of a radio hit, practically guaranteeing Garrett a place within the mainstream music scene.

Watching Malta Euro finals 2011 last Sat ....I was quite impressed with Thea's guest appearance projection ... goes to show that artistes competing in this somewhat ridiculous show have a lot more to offer and Euro is a tool to bring attention to their work ....
This year's Euro Malta thingie ... which many love to hate !
Possibly Malta's most entertaing reality show !
