Noon. Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund working committee meeting at San Anton Palace.

6 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela preside over the Malta Community Chest Fund board meeting at San Anton Palace.

Wednesday

11 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Golf Club Malta captain Kenneth Micallef, at San Anton Palace.

7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela preside over the recital by mezzo soprano May Caruana Busuttil, tenor Joseph Aquilina and pianist Simone Attard at San Anton Palace.

Thursday

9.30 a.m. The President is presented with letters of credence by Ambassador of Jordan Zuheir Al-Dumour, at the Palace, Valletta.

10.15 a.m. The President is presented with letters of credence by Ambassador of Azerbaijan Vaqif Ismayil oglu Sadiqov.

11 a.m. The President is presented with letters of credence by Moroccan Ambassador Hassan Aboyoub.

11.45 a.m. The President is presented with letters of credence by the Ambassador of Mali Amadou Toure.

1.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host a luncheon in honour of the newly accredited ambassadors.

4 p.m. The President receives a courtesy call from HSBC Continental Europe CEO Peter Boyles, HSBC Malta CEO Alan Richards and HSBC Malta chairman Albert Mizzi.

Friday

10.30 a.m. The President confers ‘Xirka Ġieħ ir-Repubblika’ on Jacques Barrot, former vice-president of the European Commission and former European Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security at the Palace, Valletta.

11.30 a.m. The President is interviewed by Fr Charles Tabone for his television programme ‘Kelma għall-Ħajja’, at the Palace, Valletta.

7.30 p.m. Mrs Abela attends the National Council of Women Foundation Day dinner at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.
