Transport Malta will be auctioning 71 vehicles after they were removed from Maltese roads and impounded but were never claimed.

The sale will be held today week.The authority said that the vehicles are being sold tale quale but they are in good condition.

In November 2010 it had published a list of the removed vehicles which had not been retrieved by their lawful owners. The owners had a month to retrieve their motor vehicles upon submission of proof or ownership and upon payment of the applicable registration tax, vehicle Licences and other administration fees.

The auction will be held on Saturday at Xatt il-Mollijiet, Quay No.2, Marsa in the vicinity of the Marsa Trade School, between 9am and Noon. Apart from the bidding cost, registration tax will have to be paid. A deposit will have to be paid on location.

Vehicles may be viewed between next Wednesday and Friday between 9am and 3pm. Further information may be sought by calling the Land Transport Directorate on 2560 8190.
